Computer games installed from disk often require the disk be present in the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive in order to play; this is also a boot disk. The game cannot be started, or booted, without the disk.

Utility boot disks can serve several different purposes. Recovering data from a hard-drive is often done with a boot disk that allows you to explore your hard-drive without running the installed operating system.

Some boot disks can be used to recover or reset passwords on user accounts. This is very useful in businesses when a person forgets their password and cannot log into their computer.

Finally, the disk used to install the operating system on a computer is also a boot disk.

What Problems are Associated with Boot Disk?

Although Boot Disk is a great program used around the world, there are some errors that you are likely to encounter when using this software. Boot Disk is stable when it comes to task execution; however, some users have reported errors experienced during the download or installation process.
